I did a transmission swap on my 01 tahoe becuz I lost reverse in old tranny. Now however, the new one won’t engage into park. All other gears are there and everything shifts fine, but the dash indicator for what gear I am in comes and goes and jumps around now also. Had no problem with it prior to swap. Also, one other problem I am having is with the transfer case. It will not engage into 4 low now, but will engage into 4 hi and 2 wheel. Any info on how to correct these problems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Use the parking brake, engage it, chock wheels for more safety, disconnect the shift cable and manually shift it to park from under the truck. If that still doesnt engage park, then its a problem with the parking pawl. To replace it or inspect it, the pan has to be dropped.
As for the tcase make sure you are putting the tranny in neutral, then hit 4low and wait/see if it engages, you'll know if it did because it will pop.

are you sure its not going in park or is park just not being indicated. where the shift lever connects to the trans is your neutral switch range selector. the plugs and wires for that get damaged very easily. the switch itself doesn't take much either to damage. i believe it also have to do with the neutral signal that goes to the transfer case for 4lo.

Park is a physical gear, not a clutch pack. Either the select lever is not connected properly or you have something major occurring. VERY unlikely for you to break the parking gear. I imagine its something simple.
