Trying to find which 3m tape is the best for the side molding on my 08 Yukon Denali. Search function is not working for me so sorry if it's been addressed before.

I used the 1” 3M the package is gone but it said for exterior trim. My door molding came loose a couple years ago no problem since. Be sure to use some tape to mark placement before removing

I just used the 3m stuff at advance auto. I’d suggest letting the side moldings sit in the sun before installing. Made them nice and flexible. My Sierra ones had started to peel off and got deformed. Leaving them in the sun before sticking on got them pliable enough to stick them on and stay flat again.
I have noticed that the drivers door at the rear is sticking out a bit at the rear of the door. I guess that I would have to remove it completely to refasten it? What is the best way to remove without damaging the paint or moulding?

I just let it sit in the sun and then pulled. You can use fishing line too if it’s difficult to take off. Either adhesive remover, goof off or an eraser wheel to remove the old stuff.

Funny you say that, mine is the same on both sides! Almost look like somebody tried to pry it off from that spot!
I had a 2016 Denali PU that did the same thing it was refastened under warranty but I have no idea how they got it off or what they used to refasten it with. Here is a pic of it. I have not bothered to do a pic of the ** door yet but it looks about the same. ** is just my beater daily driver but I still like to keep it in good shape...

What is this "sun" you speak of? It's December here in the Midwest....

Vacation time
The door molding and cracked dashes seem to be widespread. Be careful when you remove them it’s easy to scratch the paint underneath even with plastic tools (not that I know anyone who did that) Goo gone wouldn’t take the old glue off but turtle wax remover did
