Sorry for the extreme delay. Was the right front wheel bearing. On my way to work on Xmas eve night it finally gave out I live about 60mi north of my work. And it blew out about 15mi from my job. I was able to limp it to work, and ended up repairing it in the parking lot. Had to cut the old...
So I pulled into KFC to get lunch and all three warnings pop up on the DIC. I found one of the connections came off when I did the rear shocks. I haven’t checked those two connections yet. Going to shortly,
but what I want to know is this:
Is there other connections other than the front struts...
I used the Arnott's to do my rear. Still trying to sort out the front. But I am about to replace the front hub bearing, pads and rotors and axleshafts. may as well do these as well.
One of the front wheel bearings is howling. So I am going to replace both bearings, the front pads, and rotors. I am wanting to replace the half shafts while I am there as well. The boots look worn but nothing is wrong with them. But my Denali has almost 180k miles so I figured why not go ahead...
I assume the springs are ok. I could rebuild them sure. but was hoping to be able to replace everything. Then again I may not have a choice. Are the rock auto units good quality tho?
it seems there is a huge gap in pricing for the front shocks. I have looked on O'Reilly and Autozone and they are wanting $500 and up each. I looked on RockAuto and there are some that are half that proce. Yet I question if it is a quality unit.
my truck has 175K miles, so I am wanting to...
So I replaced my air compressor and both rear shocks. Slightly compressed axle and turned key on to allow shocks to fill up.
When that happened. Service stabilitrak and service traction control message showed on D.I.C.
Put tires on, let it down on the ground. Now I have same messages. And...
Come to find out the motor is fine. The gears are stripped out. I ordered parts, and manually moved the seat back. Took a 5/16 socket and hammered it on to the end of the screw. And just turned each one til I got the seat to where I want it.
Wife sat in the seat for the first time yesterday...
I was looking around on the inner webs and have found where it says that the L92 does not have AFM(DOD) but does have VVT. But have seen other sources say that there is no VVT either. It was my understanding that VVT didnt hit the 6.2L engine until 2009 when the AFM also was added to the...
Oh I may go to 4.10’s then. And you don’t buy a Denali because you wanna conserve gas. At least I didn’t.
I used to have a ‘13 SS Camaro, bought it new. 2yrs later was stolen. Life has happened. And I’m in a spot where I need to haul 4 English mastiffs. So I have a Denali. And I can build it...
I have tossed around the idea of 4.10’s but have concerns about highway rpm’s at 70-75
The plan would be to put all new gears and bearing in the axles. Won’t be any different than doing it on a 4x4 I have done a lot.
