Should I disable AFM on my 2017?

2017 Suburban, 80k miles. Seems that the AFM/cylinder deactivation system on these engines might cause problems down the road based on what I've read. What's the consensus here - Is it worth disabling? If so, can I get away with one of those OBD dongles and just leave it in the port? Sent...

2017 Suburban..Bad door switch preventing interior lights from going on when door is ajar?

2017 Suburban Premier.... The passenger door, when opened, does not trigger the interior lights. The Chevy dealership wanted $275 to swap the sensor switch, which is inside the door. Naturally, I'd like to attempt this job myself, though I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this...

17 Suburban Premier - rough idle when warmed up

Just purchased a used 2017 Suburban Premier about 2 months ago. I notice that after the car has run for a while and is warmed up, coming to a stop and staying in drive there is a fairly noticeable rough idle. The whole truck gets shaky. The roughness goes away upon shifting to neutral or...

Just seeing your response now @Seamus. Thank you for this - the dealership (as expected) didn't find anything wrong with whining sound. So I'm definitely going to try this fix!

Just purchased used 2017 Suburban Premier, anything I should look out for?

Yes that's what I meant to say. So yeah, in the Suburban I just got, I notice a very slight, but noticeable whine/whistle inside the cabin when the AC is activated. The sound kind if wavers a little. It's just loud enough to be annoying to me. I have an appt Thursday for it to be looked at...

What is the symptom of a failing compressor?does it start making a whining/whistling noise by any chance?

Just purchased used 2017 Suburban Premier, anything I should look out for?

I'm glad to hear you've had good luck with your 2015. Here's what I did to mine in the ONE YEAR that I owned it: - bearing in steering wheel went bad, plus seat warmer died ($900) - Rear AC lines, battery lines replaced ($1500) - various belts ($300) - headlight filled with water. Bought a used...

Just purchased used 2017 Suburban Premier, anything I should look out for?

Hey everyone, I had a 2015 Tahoe LTZ which I just traded in for a 2017 Suburban Premier. I had bad luck with the Tahoe - I'm convinced that the 2015 had a bunch of first year kinks they had to work out. I needed more space, plus the Tahoe always left a bad taste in my mouth due to the massive...

Steering wheel lights AND center Infotainment screen stopped working at same time

Well this is new. I went to drive the car last night...the steering wheel lights were not lit and the center screen, while technically back-lit, was not showing anything. Heated steering wheel button still did something, as did the arrows that change the screen on the dash, but I could not get...

Chime volume is LOUD (and it's turned all the way down in settings) - '15 Tahoe LTZ

2015 Tahoe LTZ The chime sound seems quite loud, and I swear sometimes I hear it get louder as it does its ignition turn on sequence. In the settings, the volume is turned all the way down. Anyone else notice this on theirs?
