    Yea I was just going to pull it and look. I should have done this when I replaced the darn cabin filter though I was fine with just #1 setting not working at that time, now that 2 is dead I have to put it on 3 and with ac on, gets a little cold.

    So this resistor can cause a few speeds to stop but allow others to still work? Where is the resistor located on 2001 Z71.

    The old girl at 192k needs shocks. What is a good sensible brand to put on it. Stock height, don't need TOP end stuff (prob won't have it that long, years more, to warrant that money) but don't want cheap stuff either. Monroe's good?

    Just curious if they are made for the 5.3 that are direct fit bolt on to the factory exhaust?

    It will not hurt seals in the motor when I run trans fluid in it? I am due for a oil change about the time it runs low again. Good time to do the trans fluid thing and see what it does.

    So when my oil is low throw in a quart of trans fluid. How long do I let it idle? Then just change the oil as normal? I have a 72 Buick. I can drop some trans fluild in the carb while it is running and that will clean it?
