I re-solder the diodes both top & bottom. This brighten up the PRND321 & message center where you can read everything once again.

did you re-solder all of the diodes or only the one you circled in the picture you provided?

When you resolder them make sure to desolder them first if you can. Either with a wick or desoldering tool. Also make sure not to leave the iron on the circuit board to long or you run the risk of burning the trace or ruining the thing your soldering, trust me it sucks trying to repair it. Also check to see if you ran the solder together on the things your resoldering, it's a tight spot so it's very possible for that to happen.

05 Yukon cluster dead

I just completed the Led swap and i was repositioning a few of the Led's and all of a sudden the entire cluster went dead except the led's. I have checked all the fuses and they are good. Also, if I start the car the check engine light comes on then goes out.
None of the gages work either. Any ideas???

Did u find a solution???? did the some thing

This is for 03-06:

B11 Orange_ _ _ _12V
B09 Pink_ _ _ _ _ _IGN (12V)
A12 Black_ _ _ _ _ Ground
B12 Black/white_ _Ground

A11 Red_ _ _ _ _ _12V for lights

Anyone know where and what this info is for the 99-02 instrument cluster? I can't find it after searching. TIA

Hi all, I am working on a 03 Chevy Tahoe. I have been looking for stock bulbs to replace my burnt out instrument bulbs. I replaced a couple of bulbs in the HVAC control head about 2 years ago and they have burnt out already. I got them at radio shack and they must not have been the correct bulbs. But they were the correct brightness. I have just bought some new bulbs hear http://www.imbivious.com/paypal.htm - I bought the bulbs with the yellow base. This person is also on ebey. They claim to be the correct stock bulb for the instrument cluster for the 03 - 07 GM. But they are half as bright when put in the HVAC control head compared to the stock bulbs that are still working on the board. I have not tried them in the instrument cluster yet. They are 14volt 1.watt. The argument for using 14volt bulbs is that the charging system puts out 14volts and not 12 volts. But I say that is irrelevant. What is relevant is what volts the circuit board delivers to the bulbs as the voltage could be stepped down to 12volts or even 6 volts. I also came across this site http://www.jkllamps.com/automotive/autowireterminallamps - But they do not know what bulbs to use.

Does anyone know the correct Voltage and wattage/amperage for stock bulbs for the HVAC, Radio, And dash? Or do you know what bulbs I need and were to get them?

I also found this place for radio bulbs http://audioxpress.org/listing/delco-radio-display-light-bulbs-4mm-10-pcs/ - But they are 14 volt and I don't want them to be too dim.

Thanks for the great write up. Kellyh

Thank You treehan77. Great find. I will give those HVAC bulbs a try. That is a good site. I'm sure I will order more from them. I did not see that they had stock radio light bulbs. I did see the face plate and knobs.

Anyone know were to get stock radio bulbs? Thanks again. Kellyh
