Going 7mph looking at a car passing by when traffic stopped then boom. Very surprised on the amount of damage from going that slow. Looks like I'm just gonna need a new hood and a can re paint the grille myself (it needed it). Anyone know of a good place to get a replacement hood for a decent price? Cheapest I can find is 270 after shipping on rock auto

Also does anyone know if a 99 Sierra hood will work on a 2003 Yukon Denali?

I am finally done wrapping the shit out of the Denali!
I am worried about it getting damaged but oh well it can all be fixed, I put 50 miles on it today since its been 4 months and I missed driving it like crazy!!!

It made me extremely happy to have so many neighbors come over to say how amazing it looks and some thought it was paint. The smell of new shoes from the vinyl when opening the garage is also nice lol.

Here is how far it has come.
The first purchase was the 22" rims and tires. :)

Thanks guys I am extremely happy with how it turned out, 100x better than a smashed up multi colored version of itself. I'm going to drive myself crazy keeping it clean!

Got tired of the low windshield fluid warnings everyday. Replaced the windshield washer pumps today. What a PITA! The rear was leaking although it still worked, but it fell apart as soon as I touched it. Reservoir was fine. Replaced both pumps since they're only like 15 bucks each and I don't wanna do this again for a long time. Got them at O'Reilleys since the ones at the other stores didn't seem to have good reviews and the ones ones there did. Get extra friction fittings if you do this haha.

Big weekend for all of my cars but the Denali in particular...

Checked and un-kinked the horn wiring underneath the airbag as my horn had stopped working (but worked if locking the truck). Got horn to work.

Dropped off for new tires and Virginia safety inspection. Got Michelin LTX M/S2 tires since the truck is just used for bad weather and towing, no off-roading.

Noticed it was leaking oil a bit more than usual (alarmingly so) the past few days and didn't have time to check it out myself, so asked the shop to look after they did the tires. It was leaking from the valley pan gasket and the oil filter adapter gasket (where the oil filter "holder" mates to the block, I guess).

I paid them to do the oil filter gasket as well as an oil change, since it was due for it and I knew of the valley pan leak (it's a slow leak that ends up being 1 qt every 3500 miles). Expensive shop bill at $505 but given all I had done... Not too shabby.

Off to VIR with the racecar in tow on Thursday!
