Ok so i finally went ahead and ordered hids for my 03 yukon from DDM seen here
http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/DDM_35W_55W_Slim_Ballast_HID_Kit-101-0.html

So they arrived today and i tried to hook them up and i noticed right away there was one piece that didn't look like it belonged it was what looks like an extension of the stock lighting wire and it goes right thru the rubber grommet with the two wires that go into the back of the bulb

So tell me if this is right first i attached the stock wire to the ballast then connected the two male female cords for the hid light to the ballast then put the light into the headlight housing and turned on the lights with no success

Does anyone have any idea where i went wrong or if i need to upgrade my wiring?

here is what i have

ok here is how it works.

HID plugs. Plug in. Stock harness plugs in to the female harness on the bulb. Male harness on the bottom of the bulb goes in to the ballest.

B2 and B3 go with L1 and L2 for sure

L4 should go to B1

and then L3 hooks up to the original stock wire from your car

isnt there a slight bump on the factory part that prevents it from going into B1 anyway?

Has anyone here used DDM's Raptor kits? I've been hunting for HID's for my fogs, came across these, but looking for opinions. Also curious about you guys running HID's in your fogs - no issues with heat? Did you use a harness?

BTW, I'm rolling a 2005 Hoe with 880 fog lamps. Since they're only 27w, I'm thinking a harness might be in order for any HID install.

Some people may need to use it. It depends on the vehicle. You could use it if you wanted to but there is no point

No harness, no heat issues?

no, 35w 880s are right for fog housings, if u got 55w, then i bet you'd melt your fog housings
