I waited for a while to post this...wanted to give it some time to form a more education and less reactionary opinion. Now, after owning my 2015 Denali XL for 6 months and 10,000 miles I can say it: I wish I would not have bought it.

Here's why:
I don't trust it. Repeated issues with the AWD system, various features that don't work, many squeaks/rattles, poor fit and finish all around, and some clearly poor engineering. The truck looks great for sure...but after 10,000 miles it feels equally as used as the 2005 Toyota Sequoia with 140,000 miles that I traded in. It's not bad enough for a lemon law claim, but not good enough to keep me from feeling like a sucker for having bought a $74k GMC.

I love cars, any maybe at some point I'll learn to love parts of this one...but I wish I would not have bought it.

No regrets here, i love the truck but GM have to come with some fixing for this car i have already 19,800 miles, not problem but the transfer case and 2 guys
with 2015i start to have the same problem.
the reason why i bought is because i dont want not buddy to control my life style, mean " miles controled" that is not for me.
:hmmm2:

Its all perception of value. That thing is no more higher quality than the GM.

This is my 3rd GM truck and I am happier and more impressed with this vehicle than either of my previous two, a second and third generation Escalade. Quieter, smoother, and much better build quality.

I think it is a higher standard of quality vs the Benz..... however the additional $$$ is not worth it to me

Ummmm....no.

Curious what makes the fit / finish not up to your standards?

Plastic bits not aligning, carpet not covering corners, drivers seat back comes loose easily, rattles, etc.

Sure it is. Everyone knows all the Euro's are maintenance HOGS. And once theyre off warranty you ditch them as quick as you can because its one problem after another. Not saying GMs dont have issues, they all do, but in comparison, all the Euros arent as reliable.

As far as the issues stated above, Id love to see some pics of what youre desribing.

2010 Mercedes S550 4Matic (Hauls Me)

This might be the problem lol

Nope. I acknowledge the price difference between the two and don't hold the GMC to the same quality standard. I compare it more to the 2005 Toyota Sequoia that I had previously - and in that comparison the GMC falls short.

I'm talking about build quality, you are talking about reliability. You'll get no arguments from me about euro reliability issues, but plenty about superior initial build quality.

I'll try to snap a few pics.

SVL, GM still doesn't have it together. I'm amazed every time I get in a vw or Audi at how well they are assembled. Get in a GM vehicle and the stitching on the seats will be crooked or the leather loose fitting etc. I'm a GM guy so I put up with it. If you get a good GM truck hold on to it, because it will be cheaper to own than a Toyota due to timing chain replacement costs. Get a bad tahoe like we did in '07 and you could be in for $6-7k in repairs.

I have never bought or will buy a Japanese car .

I owned one Mercedes and it was a pain to upkeep and had small weird issues.

American made junk for me all day long.

Well your first mistake was buying a vehicle the first year of a new style, you always wait a few years in because by then they have a majority the problems/issues worked out.
