Re painted my tails and found a new way to restore trim.

I darkend me tails a bit today since i had them off for the stupid fuse problem. But, I also found an awesome way to bring the black back to our bumper trim and side trim. I Had an extra can of Krylon Fusion gloss black in my room, and i had one of those curved foam paint brushes. So i just sprayed some Krylon onto the foam, and ran it around my trim. It looks amazing compared to the old worn out color. And there is no need to tape off the truck. You can easily touch up small areas. And i used it on my mirrors also. Looks great.

Haha same thing here. I read it quicker than a couple minutes but I did stop and look for a second. Sounds like it worked good 350. Definitely want to see the pics.

Here ya go guys, Just done with a foam paintbrush and a can of Krylon Fusion. And the Plastic aborbs the paint so much, i dont see it flaking off anytime soon. Maybe never. Its hard to tell through pics but its so much cleaner looking now.

This is what the old worn out black looks like compared to the new. Much different.

sweet man, that looks good, i might try that on the grey valance on mine, instead of smoothing it out and paint and clearcoat....i got burnt out on all that after doing my bumpers and grille and everything, lol. plus if the valance starts chipping or losing the color, the way you did it, seems really quick to do, could touch it up really quick.

I know there is a product specifically for this, trim peices, weather stripping, blah blah, suppose to be really good. Can't come up with the name though. i know there a lot of brands out there.

Mequiar's Back to Black is what you're thinking of, possibly. Works pretty well, but its something you have to re-apply periodically.
