I do have a squeak/squealing noise on the left rear which I can hear when I have the window rolled down. It is not noticeable with the window up.

Rear brakes got new pads about 10k miles ago.

Could a brake caliper be stuck a bit in order to cause this noise?

Thanks in advance, your help and input is greatly appreciated.

Does the sound go away when you push in the brake pedal? Have you tried slightly engaging your parking brake while rolling to see if the sound changes? Do both of those and you should be able to narrow down which pads are making the noise.

Also, what pads did you change out with on the last brake job? OEM?

I am thinking it is the brake sensor I am hearing. I just checked and the rear pads were installed by the local MIDAS Shop (so not OEM) in April of last year and I ran 10,500 miles so far.

I contacted them to see what possibly could have gone wrong and they will check it out and will honor their work. I am thinking it is definitely brake pad related.

THE VERDICT:

Left brake caliper is sticking which caused the left rear pad to be at the wear indicater, hence the squeak.

New caliper on the left, right caliper to be checked and lubed and new pads on the rear.

Hope to be back as new here shortly.
