Did you get the thermostat or idler arm from the dealership as well? If you don't mind sharing, how much did the pump run you from them?

Thermostat was a GM part as well, idler arm was aftermarket. Pump coat me 277 bucks and change.

Had a rough week so far. Flew back from vacation and truck started loosing power on me and actually died on the highway a couple miles from my place. Did a quick search on here and cleaned throttle body (in -12 degree weather, yes straight temp). Didn't fix it so snagged my buddies flat bed and loaded Crystal on the trailer and my buddy pulled me to the shop... Yes he has a F-350 but he was working hard to pull me.

Had to change the battery out tonight. Apparently it succumbed to the cold. Not sure how long its been dead, but it was long enough to freeze.

Replace the alt main lead with one from ls1.com, replaced the alt pulley with a smaller dia. from ls1.com. Replaced the belt, both idler pulleys. Pinned my ECM for my e-fans. that's all, my back said I was done...still only 18days post surgery. Maybe tomorrow I can set my fan's in and mount the wiring harness and call it done for a week.

Glad to see you are up and about and hope your surgery went well! Good luck with your fan install, just remember that the upper fan bolts are different than what came off your other fan setup!

I never even checked to see if they were different. I guess I better check it out.
Thanks for the heads up.

So what had happened was....
Bambi's Dad committed suicide using my truck the last week. Well, he might have lived, I'm not sure, but he ran across the road at the last second and took out my grill and headlights. Luckily not much damage to the Tahoe and I'm hoping the buck lived. I got new headlights and a new aftermarket grill.

Wow, front end held up real nice. Thanks for sharing the aftermath pics. Only beef with the grille is that it reminds me of Jeep, but no big deal. I'll betcha once you get a good wash n wax and bring the rest of the black out it won't stand out as much.

It is, the electric fans use different mounting holes which require a different size and length bolt (which for some reason I can't remember off hand what is needed right now!) Luckily that's all you have to worry about, the rest fits perfect!

Pulled a full size f-250 with a load of wood on the back out the deep snow bank. He couldn't get it to start after he went into the bank. I told him well at least they circled the problem. Was able to get him out. Road was a sheet of ice had to tug a little then pull. Spinning all 4 tires trying to get traction. Have to say the Yukon did pretty good towing that boat anchor out the snow. I get a free detail job in the summer for pulling him out.
