i want to take my running boards off because i think it makes the truck look taller with the 24" rims i have but im not sure if i want my dirty looking undercarriage shown. what i need is for someone with no running boards to go take a few pics to show how much of the undercarriage is shown. thanks for any and all help.

perfect example right here buddy. I did to mine and it is totally worth it if you like the taller look. I do not regret it one bit. You can easily just hit it with black spray paint and itll look awesome which is what I have been meaning to do I just havent gone out and got some black spray paint.

I took mine off when I put the 24's on. Not the coolest way, but get a can of 3M undercoating, or black spray paint and hit the parts of the frame that show, It looks way better.

I personally think taking the running boards off will make the truck look even taller. Think about it, you're making the ground clearance appear bigger. I think it looks fine on OBS, but on NBS I prefer them on.

i agree.. that and the running boards on my truck are 1/2" (iirc) lower than frame.

go ahead and do that to if you want a cleaner look which I assume your going for with 24"s unless your puttin 37"s on them or somethin. Take note on my pics again.

I just put my boards back on, I think it was a bit cleaner with them off, but looked too tall. My 6 yr old was having a tough time climbing in and out. To me, her comfort matters more than the look of the hoe...

yours still looks really good with the boards on there and with people actually using them, the choice is obvious.
