Hey guys I've got a 4x4 LTZ and the rear suspension really bothers me. It always looks like its sitting lower in the rear which I can't stand. I replaced the rear shocks recently with Arnott's reman units and they are pretty nice. I went with Bilstein 5100's in the front and they are sweet BUT my front end is now sitting about 3/4 inch higher (install is only 24 hrs old). Sounds great but it makes the rear look like it sagging even more. If the front end doesn't settle back down what are my options just to get about 1-2 inches in the rear without have to spend a bunch of cash and still having the nice ride?

Why did you remove the front autoride struts? That might be your problem there.

I replaced the struts because they were both leaking. Now the front sits higher than it was before. The rears have the autoride but they dont raise the truck enough to balance it out.

So no problems with autoride? Im assuming its still rides just as it did? Can you post a couple pics from the side?

Is it a pretty sraight forward install? Support frame with jack stands and let rear end down. Springs just pop out them or do I need a compressor?

I guess what I'm getting at is that you didn't replace the front struts with autoride struts, correct? This might be the problem with your setup. I'm no expert in autoride, but I do know that autoride is for all four corners, not just the rear. If you put a non autoride strut in the front, I think this is going to effect the entire system.

The Bilstein 5100 front shocks lift the front end 1.75" if you install them with the spacers they came with.
That could be your issue.
