I'm hesitant to put them on the Denali ... I loved the look of the on the black Tahoe but I'm not sure how they will look, or if they will 'work' with pearl paint.

down boy lol

Keep it classy, if you are going to do it leave it black IMO

Those damn rain guards have to go. They're driving me crazy, I feel like an old man with them.

LOL- I took mine off the first weekend. Its quieter on the interstate now too- less wind noise.

LOL, I she's a bad *****, that's how!

In re: to the rain guards, these are the crappy stick on, which I don't like. The inner channel would be better, but I don't really like the contrast of the black guards/white body. Not to mention, with them up, it's totally going to enable me to smoke in it...which I'm doing my damndest not to do. However, I'm lazy and unmotivated, so I'll probably have them up until I take it to get cleaned this weekend....or maybe next week.

And seriously, all you old men, could not be THAT damn old.

I'm going to start looking for tires today.

Anyone have any experience with the front console stealth box, do you HAVE to have the Bose system? Rattles? Ect...Purportedly there is a box that sits flush with the third row sides, matches and hides completely and still lets the third row be accessible, however, I can't find it for the life of me. Anyone heard of it? And I'm not talking about the one that goes in the rear window. I need another blind spot like a hole in the head.

MTX and JL Audio both have boxes with 10" subs that fit inside the center console (after you remove the 6" bose unit). I'll probably try one of those myself. I heard the sound quality isn't the best as they are fiberglass/plastic construction but I don't want a box in the back like I have in my 02. Having it hidden like that makes up for any compromise in sound quality I guess.

I am a fan of rain guards. Deal with it.

not quite sure exactly what they "guard" from the rain though? Don't tell me "so rain doesn't get in." We don't have them and no rain gets in. And I don't know too many people who drive with the windows down in the rain...

Smokers my good man...smokers. I don't smoke personally, but liked the ability to crack the windows in the rain when I had the guards on my Jeep. Easier to defrost quickly, and sometimes just nice to let fresh air in......

Yup, I thought the only purpose of rain guards was for smokers. That was clue #1 my Yukon was owned by a smoker, #2 was the tiny burn holes behind the drivers seat and #3 was the smoke stained headliner (which is nearly gone at this point).

^ +1!

Rain Guards are not for Smokers, ................ What are you smoking????

They are exactly for the purpose of letting air in while it is raining, keeping the rain OUT.

Furthermore while parking, I can leave my windows down just a bit during the hot CA summer months with very little to no dust entering the vehilce as the opening is protected by the guards.

And to all you smokers that think they need to be smoking in a vehicle: YUCK!!!!! GROUSE!!!! NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure glad that there is a cell phone law in most states, as it is VERY dangerous to be talking on the phone while driving. However, trying to "flick" a cigarette through a small window opening is by far less dangerous while driving. WTF??????

That was the only thing I didn't like about the one I just bought. Definitely driven by a smoker. I've used two odor killers and treated the vents so far. I'll know how much better it is next sunny day. I've got one small burn in the passenger seat but am going with the katzkins this year so it wasn't a deal breaker. The smell of the fresh leather ought to really kill any remaining smoke odor as well.

I had a German in my HyHoe once ... I took up smoking just to get rid of the judgmental smell. High horses are stinky. :)

This may explain why you had a German in the HyHoe only ONCE.

Have you figured out yet whom to call to put those in channel Rain Guards on your truck?

I smoke, but I'm making a concentrated effort to not smoke in this truck. I'm fine for normal commute driving, it's Saturday errands and girls nights that are going to kill me. I had been slowly weaning myself off of not smoking in the last one, but 5 years of doing whatever I wanted in it, added up in the end. When I transferred all my junk to the new truck, after driving it all day, the old one reeked.

I'm curious to see what the new one smells like once we start getting hot again.

I'm still undecided, but leaning towards Nali rims, with grille, handles and moulding. However, I have to deal with the critics in the peanut gallery weighing in with their opinions. He seems to think I need to stay as far away from chrome as possible. Someone always has a damn opinion.

Nice truck! I got an 07 Denali with 58k miles for $24k. Should have the BB tune shortly. I also swapped the rear emblems for ones that were more symmetrical and it looks ten times better IMO. Looking forward to see what mods you do to it.

So far just a K&N, with a Flowmaster 50. I've noticed a small difference in pickup and it's louder, of course.

Thanks, I think I got a pretty good deal, aside from the random ass noise, she's pretty perfect.
