Picked up my Yukon yesterday, I'm beyond in love with this truck. Hubby is already making my list of mods, exhaust, cold air intake and subs to come soon. Had it checked out by him (former mechanic) and my Dad. No sign that the ac compressor is or ever was out. Mechanic #1, just misdiagnosed it. The only problem we can find is it needs new tires next winter. Body is in great condition, interior will need one more detail before I'm happy.

'08 SLE YUKON 38k $24,900 out the door. I realize threads are worthless without pics, but it's overcast, so I'll post when it's sunny out.

I'm so freaking excited about the mpg, I ran it about 200 miles yesterday and averaged 17.7, which is much better than the old truck. I love this damn truck.

Is it a 4x4? If yes, the mpg is simply amazing. The most I ever average on my NBS truck is in the 16.5 range.

Where are you located?

Oklahoma and no, 4x2. I debated on 4x4 and decided that with the one snow we might get yearly, it's not worth it. More $, more parts to break and less mpg. I like having the option to tell my boss is just can't make it due to weather. Hubby has 4x4 on his Silvy should we need it. Can't wait for lake season, I now own the "girls truck" for trips.

That shall explain the excellent gas mileage and I agree with your reasoning.

During the winter months, I am heading towards the Sierra Nevadas on ocassion and am driving around/near the Lake Shore(s) quite frequently during the summer months. Therefore I went with the 4x4 option.

I've just got to find a good place to stow my third row. I don't need it at all, but I'm not selling it. I'm sure dumping it will make a tiny difference in mpg, too.

We go to Colorado for snow season, but we take his Silvy.

Pictures today, promise. I will say one thing, this truck slings mud in a different direction than the old one, I'm so damn glad I stuck to my guns and got white. Black or dark grey would be impossible to keep clean.

Lol @ The Cult, ain't that the truth! Hubby has new car fever now, even though he's only had his '11 Silvy a year, now he's talking about getting an HD.
