Okay so this is probably going to disappoint some folks but here it goes ...

I took off the Escalade (G5) tails, 3rd, and appliqués ... it's not that they weren't beautiful but something about them was not right in my eyes. Basically, as opposed to the Esky and the Tahoe, the Yukon is defined by much more curvy/rounded body lines. The rear configuration, though somewhat unorthodox with the 2 tone effect, really complements this curve effect. The esky rear lights/moldings are simply too angular and clash with the front (in my eyes).

I'll take pics in a bit, and I'm not selling my stuff yet cause i want to live with her like this for a couple of weeks before I decide once and for all, but as it stands I'm already happier having gone back to the stock configuration.

Have you thought about doing g4's and running regular appliques with the esky 3rd?

Ben ... if I keep her ass stock then I'll just keep it stock.

Oddly enough the 3rd was the part that seemed to flow the least well to my eyes. It's interesting because when I swapped the Denali one back in, you could see the dirt left behind by the imprint of the esky 3rd ... and it came down a good 2-3 inches below the line of the Denali 3rd. Basically it is a LOT bigger/chunkier, adding to the issue.

But again, I don't want you guys to get me wrong, it was really beautiful ... I just don't know if it's the best modification for my Denali.

Basically now she looks more like this but with the rear GMC lettering on the LP applique:

I think I like the current look. There is nothing wrong with OCD...I got it bad. Finally have mine the way I want it...although I am considering removing the "Tahoe" from the rear.

Cause the flexfuel had to go already! It got my OCD

Yes please do something please :) Why not the G4's? I loved my set. Plus they would match up to your appliques.

Always changing......indeed ;)

Edit: I agree with your reasons with bodylines and such. I just wish GM would have done something about those stock Denali tails........not my favorite but your new sig pic does look nice though :D Decisions,decisions......

I think I see the problem ... you're saying she'll look better with the stock 20s.

brb ...

I actually like the stock Denali 20" wheels. I say do it!

But those tail lights are reminiscent of something off a 1994 Honda Civic driven by the coolest 16yr old, usually seen cruising by the movie theater atleast 50 times on Friday night, scoping the babes.. ok, I'll stop.

It's not your fault that the stock ass end is so ugly, it's GM. From the black appliques that don't line up to allow the paint on top of the roof to flow properly, the black third brake lamp, to those uber cool tail lamps, it just looks weak. I think GM dropped the ball on such a nice high end classy vehicle. But... my opinion, doesn't have to be agreed with. :Handshake:
