Okay so here's what I'm going to do ...

I managed to find a regular Tahoe/Yukon 3rd and appliques on the cheap. I'm going to have them painted my color and test them out. If they work (which they should) retaining the curvier look I'm seeking then I'll sell all the esky stuff and buy either G4s or something similar.

And so it goes ...

There is nothing wrong with OCD...

Sure there is -- that's why there's a "D" on the end of "OCD." :)

The fact that Serge can keep the Flex Fuel badge on the truck, but not the Esky appliques and lights, is... Is crazy. Haha And that's to say nothing of going back to the "unpainted" stock appliques.

Serge, I don't fault the WAY you think about the body lines of the rear vs the front -- I just think you've reached the wrong conclusion.

Haha, Im just trying to make up some mod money. Since I had to get the esky roof rack I bought re-chromed and caps repainted, I'm just looking for the best deals I can find. If you beat me to them, then have at em lol

I gotta go take a look at the dealership ... keep in mind that GM often photoshops their vehicles on their sites, but if it's a real thing then I want. :)

Good Morning Serge.

You inspired me. So today I am making appointment for taking the wheels and brakes off the Suburban. I think the aftermarket wheels and brakes take away from the true look of the stock appearance and dont let the lines of the vehicle flow properly.

I have concerns that the brakes are too overpowering for a vehicle like this. They belong on a Ferrari or Lamborghini, not a GM SUV. This vehicle doesn't travel fast enough to be concerned with stopping even faster.

Plus I think the smaller 12" rotors look good with the matted hammer finished black 2 piston calipers.

I'm going to remove everything and drive it for a few years and decide what I want.

Robbie's inspired me. my 375s are coming off as well as my esky tails and third brake light. they just don't flow right with the shapes of the tahoe.

thanks for showing me the error of my ways

I'm getting the Tahoe lowered today, but I think I'll just lower the front. These trucks have rake from the factory, and I think I just want to accentuate the rake instead of making it look low and level. The GM engineers obviously did this for a reason, so I think it's best to go with it.
