Downsizing Denali 22s?

Yeah, somehow I have a feeling that most GM spec wheel/tire combos will be pretty close to each other by intent. Even if you do the conversion between the 22" spec tires and the 18" spec tires they're only within 1mph of each other ... plus keeping in mind that each spec tire has a recommended psi I wouldn't be surprised that it is on purpose to keep the height/attitude/ground clearance/body clearance/etc constant across all the different truck trims.

Seems to me anyway.

The 22s on my Denali are really pissing me off. They look great, but with michigan winters, I have to have some proper tires, not the Bridgestones that come standard. I had Michelin LTxs on my previous Denali XL with the 20s and it handled like a dream in 1 foot snow, but the Bridgestones make snow driving dangerous IMO. Also, I have to take it to an automatic car wash in the winter to wash off the salt, and the tires on the 22s are so thin that the tire shine got on the edges of the wheels and caused chemical staining (got them replaced under warranty). Is there any way that I could get the wheels downsized to the stock 20s or even dare I say 18s?

I am really looking for 22's for my winter setup. I have my stock LTZ 20's that just got powdercoated black if you are interested in trading?

Well, I went onto tirerack and got this wheel/tire combo decided (see attachment). The calculator says it's 1.7 percent off (60 mph is 59), so I don't really mind. I was excited to see that 18" wheels would fit AND I could get a machined finish with Michelins.

I know a guy with a set of almost brand new Michelin M/S2 tires in 18" for $650 shipped if you are interested... they are mint.

I know that some of you out there are wheel/tire experts, so I need a little advice as I have never switched to an aftermarket wheel before.

The wheels I selected have a recommended tire size of 265/65r18, but I wanted to know if I could switch those to 275/65r18, because it perfectly matched the circumference/diameter of the OEM 22s.

The sidewall is 7 inches vs OEM 5 inches and rev/mi is 628.8 vs 628.3. (The OEM tire is 285/45/22)

My goal is to have an 18 inch wheel/tire combo that will fit the car and have minimal effect on the abs and speedometer. I should be able to get a good amount of cash for the stock 22s since they are only 2 months old (replaced under warranty) so money is not an issue.

I have a set of stock 20's but tires are just ok in the snow..(if you were interested) How much would you be looking to get for the 22's( I really wanted them but couldn't find one locally..)

I have the 18" hybrid wheels (see sig) that came off a Hybrid Yukon. I have the GMC center caps also. Could keep your ride looking factory.
