like a new truck!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i just poured another grand into this moneypit and all i have to say is HOLY S### got the spider injector module or w.e replaced new thermostat and intake gasket along with (unknown to me ) a fried dizzy cap .along with some other little seals and a new belt, this truck roars to life now no more chatter or flutter when i hit the gas , and it runs a hell of alot smoother it used to shake at idle it only purs now i looked at the parts when the guy removed them my intake gaskets have been leaking for about 5 years now so im glad i got that fixed it feels good to run good

did the same here but i still have a little rough idle at times. i will say she fickin moves now when you step on the gas

best money you can spend on an OBS Vortec IMO!!

I know what you mean about truck running rough... mine would shudder to life! it was awful! i took my old spider out. 6 of them were CLOG! 1 was broken in half, i had to pull it out of the holewith a screw driver... i put the new on in and it sounded like a totally new truck! glad to hear yours is running better!

Do all our OBS have these(1997?) and where are they under the hood so I can eyeball what condition mine is in.

amazon its a new design our stock one was poorly designed gm paid a bunch of money to get them redesigned i was shocked at the difference between them intake gaskets are not plastic and rubber anymore either my replacements were metal an rubber
amd you cant eyeball it you have to take the intake apart to see it the mechanic showed me mine and how much mud and carbon i had in mine i couldnt believe my truck was even running

Remove power connector from injectors module.if you see t-shaped slot holes between pins you have old design.

chuck it. New ones will have a round hole instead.
