well guys ive had my tahoe for about 2 years now and im looking to sell it or trade it for a 96-98 extended cab sierra or silverado. I like the tahoe but it is kind of short and small for me. Also with my job now i need a truck with a bed. Im looking for advise on what you guys think it is worth and if you think i could find a decent trade for it. Its pretty clean however it dose have 221k on it but still runs pefect without issue and mostly everything works, but ive been having problems with the heater and a/c controls \. Inetrior is really nice not one single rip or tear in the seats. the exterior is also nice and paint still looks good when washed up.

best bet for pricing is to skim your local Craigslist and Ebay for vehicles similar to yours, then add a grand as most on those sites are garbage lol. IMO Id be willing to pay around $4k for something in that condition.

Trippers99hoe : Thanks. Hopeully it goes quick. I need a truck asap. I do wish i didnt have to sell it to get a truck though!

WiCK3D_SiX : I've been looking around on craigslist around my area and they have a few from $2500-$4000 with less miles, but not nearly as clean. Im going to put it up for $5900 obo and see what happenes...

Gzes : Thats what id like to get for it, $5,000. Ill give you a good deal, 2 hoes are better than one!

Why do you need a bed? Maybe look into trading for a Suburban? Kinda meets somewhere in the middle.

The big negative on this is the 221k miles. Some people look heavily at mileage regardless of body and interior shape. In my part of the country if you were willing to let it sit for a bit it MIGHT sell for 5k but it'd sell much quicker in the 4k to 4500 range.

milage will kill it for a lot of buyers but you could probably swing $4500 out of it around here.

paid $5K for mine with 160K on the clock BONE stock 4 (i think) years ago.

Yeah i figured the milage was gonna be a downer for people. Id really like to get around $4700- $4800-ish. That would be cool money to either buy a truck or for a down payment on a newer truck.... I need a bed for work. i have opened the hatch and put the seats down and put stuff in there but if i really put everything i needed to haul back there, i think id ruin the interior. Also some times i have to haul half pallets of product and its not possible in the tahoe and im tired of borrowing my dad's truck. Plus i go camping a lot and i feel like there is limited room. ill put a cooler a couple extra 30 packs my bag and my girls bag and its full! haha

Gzes: Yeah your right the roof rack would work for camping! To be honest i dont know why ive never used it! haha! :emotions122: ..... For work though it wouldnt really cut it. Also a small part of it is i saw a 96-98 silverado extended cab with a small lift on some off-road 20's on the freeway and i really liked it.... I really like the tahoe though. if i could afford to keep it and buy a truck i would!

Well here in tx they are dirt cheap. I was gonna buy a single cab 1500 for $800 and it ran good and wasn't crashed but I decided I needed the money for this truck
