From what I've read about Hybrid up to this point is fairly pricey to do much of anything to them. I can't imagine how much it'd be to switch it over to 4wd and then most likely kill any MPG gains you had with the Hybrid to begin with. Just buy a 4wd from the start and you'll be WAY ahead of the game...

If you have a degree on electromechanical propulsion engineering, money a plenty to burn, a few months, and a gigantic ground wire, then yes.
