Sure would be nice if they showed the back view of that cap. I'm going to contact them and ask if they'll send me a pic of the rear of it.

Felix, you say you've researched this before. Did you see the back of this cap to know for sure?

I'm going to call the place advertised in this ad (http://kansascity.craigslist.org/aos/2292171612.html) and see if they can fabricate what I want somehow. They may charge me an arm and a leg but we'll see. I'll let you know what they say once I'm able to talk to them....

No, but my friend has a sierra denali with those rims and I closely looked at it. The GMC center cap just looks more beveled/curved then the esky 22 oem center cap which seem to be more flush with the rim and more of a flat center cap in general. The picture makes it look similar but I honestly don't think it would work.

:bawl: It looks like I may have to sell these!! :banghead: I cannot find any caps that'll work and not say "GMC" on them. I've searched high and low and even asked some body/fabrication shops about the posibility of modding the OEM caps and none are able to do it. My only other option is to go ahead and use the OEM caps and just wait a while to see if eventually some replicas (with no GMC on them) eventually come out. I'm wondering if these are just still too new to have generics made for them yet but that may be just wishful thinking! :whymewhyme:

I guess the upside is I may make money on the deal and be closer to the LTZ rims.

They aren't new at all and have been out since 07... I too am shocked they only make GMC caps and not even a blank cap for this but I came up with the same results when looking at these originally.

Well I know they're not "new" and they have blanks for the LTZ rims which have been out since '07 too so most likely they'll never produce blanks for these. Probably not abundant enough I'm guessing. Bummed nonetheless, though.

yea that's such a bummer considering how great of a rim it is.. the ones you got are way cleaner then the 5 spoke OEM chevy LTZ polished aluminum ones that came with my car IMO.

Yeah, I was going to go with the chrome version of the 5 spoke LTZ's I think. Polished is so hard to keep looking sharp. Tonight I'm going to spend getting the Denalis cleaned up and looking their best for pictures and throw them on CL tomorrow. We'll see how much money I can make off of them. Being only used for a week and being such perfect shape I should be able to make a decent chunk off my 575 purchase price I'd think.

Why not just roll with those caps?

Cuz I'm rolling in a Chevy and the caps say "GMC". It's an OCD of mine and I know eventually that'd bother me enough to where I'd want to get something different just cuz of the center caps. When I buy rims I like to roll them for quite a while and my money's worth out of them. As clean as these Denali rims are, knowing that I would not be happy long term with 'GMC' caps, I'd rather unload them before they get any wear on them and get the most I can out of them.

+1... then again I wouldn't of bought the rims with the GMC caps knowing there were no chevy caps to begin with but at least you can make some $ off of it. :Handshake:

:High 5: I bought first and did my research later. Always gotta find out for myself :D I woulda beat myself up if I'd found out that I COULD get caps for them and the deal was already gone. Know what I mean?

Well, and my attitude has always been that when you want something done there's always a way to get it done one way or another but in this instance I'm not sure that's the case. At least, in a cost effective way! :) I was hoping to maybe just mod the OEM centers but being plastic that's a whole other ballgame :)

If I were you, i'd have them sanded down and re chromed, but I don't have the cap in front of me to see how complicated that would actually be.

That'd be a good idea if the letters weren't raised/stamped in. If you look at the back the indention of the letters are back there so you'd have to actually cut the letters out and then fill in the hole. With metal that's not too hard but with curved plastic I'm not so certain.... :)

I know this is kind of late. But I would of went to any decal store and get a domed chevy decal custom made to fit the center of the center cap and I think it would look great. I would think it would of costed maybe $50 to get done.
