How to remove an Escalade roof rack?

I just bought an Escalade roof rack. I have to pull it off the wrecked truck. No idea how to remove it without breaking anything.

Instructions anyone??

The end caps should pop up from the ends, might have to tug on them a bit but they pop straight up. Then after removing all 5 screws from each side slide the rack towards the front of the truck and they should be free. Make sure you take all the hardware, you'll need it..

cool, thanks. I tugged on the end caps pretty hard. Didn't budge, was afraid of breaking em.

Yep - tug on the caps they will come off.

And like he said make sure you unscrew ALL the hardware from the roof - its different than stock ones.

Thanks guys. I'll get it sometime next week. I'll post some pics in the "Yukon Escalade conver(s)ion" thread that I started last summer when I whacked the front end and decided it'd be a good idea to put an Escalade front clip on it. Seemed like a good idea a the time. Haha. I still dig it though.

Is this a direct bolt in or will I need to drill holes in my truck. I'd rather not do that.
