To help support the weight of the subs, they are right around 80 lbs each, and to keep the flex down, you lose output if the box flexes.

i can see how it will help flex but i cant see how its supporting the weight of the subs since the subs will be mount to the first layer of wood

Well I have some pictures for you, but this sub is a death row so the motor is smaller but the basket is the same.

No, not at all. Incriminator Audio's warden is their SPL sub which is one line above this one, and don't get me wrong I have seen people compete with these and put up some big numbers!
