Hey I'm a Newbie, and looking for info on a wheel upgrade for my 2009 Tahoe.
I REALLY like the U2-55..question is I keep reading the 24" rubs? Also I've only ever purchased Mud terrain tires..whats a good low pro brand? Whats your opinion on sidewall heights and tire widths? Thanks for your help!!!

24's only rub when you are dropped. And even then it is very minor. The ideal size for a 24" rim is 295/35R24 or 305/35R24. Nitto 420s is the best tire on the market for the application you are looking for.

So a higher sidewall isn't recommended? Obviously these tires don't last forever, but what the approx mileage I could expect from a tire of this size?

24s are too small if you are keeping it stock height.

Dont listen to Modded, he is bias as shit.lol

A 35 series tire on a 24" wheel has a decent side wall. Depending on a few factors, you should expect 30-50K out of your tires. Obviously driving habbits play a big role as well as the condition of the wheels and how they are balanced and such.

Well I'm a mommy of 2, so no more burning the tires for me :emotions36:
How are Pirelli Scorpion's I found them in a 315X40X26 is $300 too much for that size?

Haha I am kind of biased like Conor said, but you can compare my 2/4 dropped 24 pics below, to the 3/5 dropped on26 pics.
Pretty sure you can guess which is which:

Also a 315/40/26 is a huge tires, its pretty much 12" wide and 36" tall! You will need atleast a 6" lift to clear that one!
If you want 24s for a stock height Tahoe, you need 305/35/24, then 295/35/24 if its dropped. Then 305/30/26 for a Tahoe with 26s.

So a 24 is probably the better wheel...What are some other brands of tires I don't want cheap tires but i def don't need the best..also anybody no of any quick performance mods? When I got this tahoe I was driving a f250 with a spartan tuner DPF delete w/ exhaust plus CAI which gave me hella horsepower..also I'd like a throatier sound any bolt ons available?

In case you didn't get me, I like 26s better, Do not get those U2-55 wheels. Half the forum has them, and then they are tooo common.
A Blackbear tune will get you more power, and a Magnaflow exhaust system will give you a sportier sound.

Damn..I really liked those, they look super easy to wash. I guess I don't have to be as concerned with washing..I keep forgetting this one isn't going in the mud! I think I like the 26's better too..but I don't wanna lower the truck..maybe a leveling kit but thats it.

I really like the u2-55's also but have been trying to decide whether to get 22's or 24's. Can anyone tell me is there a big difference in ride quality between 22's and 24's?

No real noticable difference
