The bulb gaskets still seem fine, so I am guessing the old ones leaked around the seam..
(old seam looks dry and crusty)

Good idea on the housings, but I'm still installing them dry..
I'm lazy, but it's also a principle thing... I shouldn't have to seal new headlights!
If they leak within 15 years, I'll be disappointed..

I'm more worried about the electrical contacts and wiring in the socket since they were immersed..
Looking a little corroded, but not completely...

The best part is how easy the housings are to remove.
So if there's any problem, it's no big deal to remove them and fix it.
Just trying to help a brotha out.
I've learned that aftermarket light's gaskets suck.

I always gotta learn the hard way!
I'll find out after I go through a carwash in a week or two..

The bulb gaskets seem loose, probably thinner plastic.. Even the headlight bulbs that came with the housings have little tension...

Otherwise the lights look/fit fine..

Spent more time replacing the cracked wiring loom..

Also, the factory headlight wiring seems thin..

Finally installed my junkyard z71 roof rack.. Side rails were faded, touched up with SEM trim black spray paint.
I did not drill the roof for the rear bracket 3rd bolt. I think it'll be fine..

Locktite blue on the threads, hopefully that will work as thread sealant...

I'm amazed at how easy it is to change our headlight assemblies and light bulbs. Where o where are these engineers and designers now?

I recently helped a good friend replace a busted headlight in a 2023 Mazda CX-5. The front bumper and several pieces under hood had to be removed to access the headlight. Unbelievable. :fca5278d:

My climate control wasn’t working when I set the AC to 72 or any number. AC just ran wide open cold. Replaced the cabin air temperature sensor aspirator GM 22834330 that is in the headliner directly above the driver seat. Couldn’t believe how easy it was to do and the aspirator no longer makes a very loud annoying hum. I unsnapped the top of b pillar next to the driver seat, gently pulled the headliner down, fished out the sensor, plugged the new one in, snapped back into place. Took 10 minutes. Highly recommend replacing if yours makes an annoying hum. Bought the sensor on Amazon for $55.

Paid to much. $425 If I could find them under $300 I would buy 10 of them. They are getting hard to find around here (Atlanta area). I've been trying to get one for a decent price. None under $400 near here. I've been watching Facebook market place and all of the yards within 100-150 miles. One yard was asking $900. Got this one off Market place in North Atlanta.

Nice! (on the hood, not much on the price SMH)

Are you going to take it to a shop to get it repainted? Looks like some minor paint chipping but otherwise clean.

I like the look too. Yours looks good.
Just needs minor body work. I will paint it myself. I keep changing my mind on my keeping my Yukon or selling it to get a truck. Been looking at 2000-2002 Chevy single cab short beds. Something to play around with. One of my sons has a mildly built 6.0 i can have. I already have a '15 Ram I've owned for 5 years. The Yukon is a 3rd vehicle right now.
