I messed up big time yesterday and backed into my garage wall with my truck. I dented the tailgate up badly. I am looking for a replacement and finding a lot of "power liftgate" ones. My truck came with a manual liftgate.

Will a power liftgate bolt in assuming I retain my manual lift struts or is there some wierd and odd difference between the two where I couldn't make it work? Anybody know?

Thanks!

I can not say for certain but i can not think of a single reason why not.
I would however stay away from Escalade's. Some body parts are different.

Neither can I, you'd just have a liftgate with a feature you never use, that happens all the time.

The vast majority of Escalade parts can be made to fit on a non-Escalade vehicle, however, you may also need to change surrounding parts as a cluster.
Example: To change the 'grille' of a Tahoe/'burban to use an Escalade front grille, you'd ALSO need to change the
Hood, headlights, fenders, and front bumper fascia, plus maybe something else I'm forgetting. Totally doable, just maybe more involved than you'd first think.
(Many of the 'Escalades' in NYC are actually Tahoes/'burbans/Yukons.)
