Proximity key..

I was considering the proximity key, as I remember it was about 150.00.
The service dept quoted me 300.00 for the "install", they claimed they had to call GM and it would take over 1.5 hours or more.
I declined...Anyone else have this done?

How It Works

• Unlocking: As long as your fob is within about 3 feet of the vehicle, simply press the small button on the exterior door handle to unlock the door.

Same here, I turned that off on both of our vehicle's

Basically the fob that comes with the 21-26 Tahoes etc.
what do they call the credit card looking thing that you can use in place of the fob to unlock the doors? It came with my 26 hc
