I have an S23Ultra and have driven 16 different rental cars this year (work travel), including Chevys and even a Yukon. All 16 have been connected to my phone and Android Auto.

MY Yukon's navigation and Android Auto is by far the slowest of all of the vehicles I bave connected to. It can take 15-30 secs to pull a result and start navigation, whereas in other vehicles it is almost instant.

I am also constantly getting a sporadic message stating the center console has disconnected from Android Auto.

Dealer checked it out and says it is within the 10-15 expected spec and no issues. Radio assembly has already been replaced once before, I dont remember the exact issue why as it was 20k miles ago.

Anyone else?

Is Android Auto built into the head unit, or do you have to connect the head unit to your phone for Android Auto to work?

My S24 ultra auto connects within about 10/15 seconds. No need to plug in.

Not sure what year vehicle you have, but my 2024 Yukon Infotainment system is dog slow!

My neighbor has. A 2025 Yukon and his system Is rocket fast compared to mine.

I understand the 2024 systems are the end of life of that particular system so it was already 6 to 8 years old by the time it rolled out. So I'm guessing the processor and RAM is limited in the unit. It'd be nice to see if someone could come up with a processor upgrade for these systems because they are clearly taxed out. Sometimes when I try to bring up the navigation system built into the vehicle it can take minutes before it actually launches.

Really sad that they don't put enough processing power and RAM and these things to make them work like they should.

I've gone in and tried to optimize clear cache reset. Got everything I can and it's not much better. I'm not sure if there's any updates coming out that will improve the performance, but I think when you've got a 7 to 10-year-old platform you can only expect so much from it.
