2025 Suburban RST 5.3

So the other night while driving home the auto stop tried to activate even though it was off. I was coming to a stop and the engine started stumbling and I noticed on the DIC the auto stop symbol was flickering on and off pretty much in time with the engine stumbling. When I pressed the accelerator it went away. Hasn’t done it since. The auto stop was turned off (I have an auto stop eliminator installed). Has anyone experienced this?

Pics of the truck, please. If we can't see it, it does not exist.

Can you tell us what brand and model of auto stop eliminator that you installed? That may be helpful to members replying to your question.

I have had the auto stop eliminator installed since the day I bought my 25 Yukon and never had that happen...I would contact the support at Auto Stop Eliminator and see what they say, maybe a defective module?

I don't know anyone with a Tahoe or Suburban that has not installed an auto stop eliminator. Yours is the first problem I've ever heard of. I don't know which one you have, mine is the one that installs behind the dash and simply "remembers" your setting. If you have this, try cycling it a couple of times and see what happens. I found that pulling off the dash area was the hard part. Replacing it should be easy. Some good news, the new EPA Director announced that they are eliminating this evil requirement going forward. Should you buy a new vehicle verify Stop-Start not there.

I have the kind that remembers my setting also. I’ve cycled it a couple times like you suggested and this issue hasn’t happened since. Happy to hear that this stupid requirement is being eliminated. First the government ***** up the gas can and now this ********.
