yes, a several tools that fell in during construction. They'll all be removed upon cleanup and completion.

40-50yrs. The deck is composite. Only the framing is wood.

Today should be exciting. I got the email with the build plans, elevations, and Friday we get the 3D virtual walk-thru of the house. This will allow us a lot of time to process everything and make permanent changes before we go into the final phase to build.
Dock update: framing is coming along. I am aggressively Tritoon shopping at the moment. I think we decided to buy a new one. Warranties were too good to pass up as opposed to saving $15k to buy used.

Leisure Kraft pontoons built in our town. One of my friends used to be a mechanic for them and the owner is a good dude. They've been building boats here as long as I can remember. I believe they were one of the first companies to do the trick-toon setup with twin outboards. They are very well built.

Wife and I just opened the plans. House looks much better in 3D elevations. I think I can finally swallow the whole garage layout. There are some changes we are going to make, but mainly aesthetics and windows/doors. I think my window budget is gonna cost the most LOL

Dads pontoon is Godfrey branded "sweetwater"
He bought it new in 2000. 20' with a 90hp mercury. It'll run 35ish. When he passed, he left it to me. It's still sitting in their garage.
It was a good boat, not many complaints. He had it built back then, exactly how he wanted it. After a few trips to the dealer, it was fine. Back then, that was a fast pontoon. Bigger toons for the motor. It's a fish/leisure but he wanted to ski. You can def ski behind it
Back then, they all had 40hp motors. Crazy how much that's all changed

Sweetwater is their trim level now I think. 35mph with a 90HP is nuts. That seems like a lot for a small motor.
As far as the one we are looking at, 55mph on a Tritoon is a lot, but it's nice to have the power if needed. I think cruising at 28-32 is idea.

So yesterday we got some renderings of the house from 4 different elevations. Drawings never do well with me, so I loaded them into chatgpt to make them more realistic. We have some changes to make, nothing crazy, but just gotta let it sit and think about it before we go back with a punch list. Ideally the garage has now grown on me and I like how it looks. I think we are going to change a few windows and doors here and there, but the overall layout is coming along as planned.

Orientation question, since I see it both ways in the renderings. The driveway and front of the house faces the access road, and the covered patio faces the water, correct?

Maybe it was 30 mph? It hasn't been out of the garage in at least 5 years, so I could def be remembering wrong.

yes, the chatGPT renderings aren't exact. Its just for an overview.
The front of the house is where the garages are. You come down the driveway and curve slight to the left and then go forward into the single car toy garage, or continue on a harder left where it circles around to the side-load 2-car entry where the front door is. The chat renderings dont always that accurately. At least not for $20/month lol.
The back of the house where the porch is faces the western exposure on the lake.
