Decided to check my engine hours today. When purchasing the PPV, I found out the unit was used in traffic control rather than regular patrol, so I figured the hours would reflect the hours of sitting and watching for traffic infractions, and it certainly does.

With only 77K miles on the clock, it would seem rather low for a 2013. However, the engine hours register at 16,325, so roughly 2 years of the 11 years it has been on the road, that engine has been running.

So I am guessing I am going to have to keep a close eye on oil use with this PPV.

How's it doing for you. I bought a PPV with 100k miles, 2019 and has 14k hours.

You need to push the DIC 4-button on the right side.
If you don't have one, you'll need to buy and install it.

2012 z71 223,886 / 6,342.3 = 35.3 mph
ppv cluster 106,442 / 11,934 = 8.9 mph
canada ppv 13,666 / 1,487.4 = 9.2 mph

Now I'm running the canada cluster, but I think I like my Z71 cluster more. Less cluttered looking.

I've noticed with the canadian cluster, once it is unplugged, it will default to metric next time it's plugged in.

With the engine off, push and hold the dash pin in and it will show you the engine hours.

I had no idea!

Works with my canadian PPV cluster.. so I guess it's programmed into PPV/SSV clusters.

My 2010 PPV has around 150k on it, when I bought it the dash showed around 6k hrs on it. Recently had some work done to it that required a dealer visit unfortunately, after picking it up noticed the hours were reset and now shows around 16hrs when i actually seen it.

I thought the hours wasn't reset-able? Was it some other work that involved a new cluster?
Or am I thinking about the gallons used? Makes more sense if hours isn't reset-able, but gallons might be..
