Made a 450 mile drive in the 2019 today, I74 to I77 toll, two of us and good sized luggage load. Kept telling myself to drive conservative but still saw a lot of 80+mph. With the AFM active I got 22.3 mpg by the readout, I'll do the math tomorrow but it's usually real close. Good machine.

Got a noisy tire and can feel it, OE Goodyears with 34k miles. Looking for quality replacements now.
Everybody swears by Michelin Defenders…. Meh they’re ok.
I think my problem is the 22’s….i should go with a 16 with a big *** sidewall to mitigate the pot hole ridden roads of NY state….

Their best feature is how long they last. If you're willing to sacrifice longevity and quiet, other tires perform acquit themselves admirably.

My old @$$ '02 Tahoe rides on 255/70R18, and they handle MOST of the normally schidty Bronx / Manhattan / Brooklyn / Queens 'roads' admirably.
Only need to slow down for the very worst, like potholes big enough to hide babies and intentionally torn-up roads with sharp corners.

It's not your fault, it's the asphalt.

Ours is an LS with 18" wheels. The Defenders are pretty expensive and reviews are all over the place, some good, some not. But doesn't seem to be a lot of options in that size. I'm looking for quiet tires with good balance, and a nice smooth ride, won't see snow or mud. Highway and speed mostly. The Goodyears were ok until this. Haven't had good luck with Goodyear tires over the years.

Took it camping at an overland expo. Because I have to pose properly the maxtrax are on the rack, the awning is on the side, and the nipple rings on the bumper.

Hound dogs favorite spot is under the teardrop. She loves it there.

On my 2016 Suburban 285-45/22 I recently went from Bridgestone to the Michelin Defenders and can feel a considerable difference, smoother ride over different surfaces. 285-45/22 On my 2010 Suburban with 20" I had Goodyear then switched to Michelin on it and felt a difference as well.

For the first time yesterday, had trouble filling the truck with fuel. Kept shutting of. I have never topped this thing off since I've owned it almost 3 years. Do the canisters just eventually fill up? Will see if the next time I add fuel if it still does it or if it was a funky pump.

I never actually top off the fill up. Did this on our old Blazer, let it sit for a month, got a service engine light when I drove it. Code showed a tank vent deal. Checked everything, spent some hours. Light went off by itself. I assume with the gas up in the fill neck it found its way into something it wasn't supposed to. Fill until it clicks off, stop.

Had 275/65R18 Duratracs installed the other day, got a great deal on them as takeoffs, at $400 for the set. Slight increase in ride height from the previous and worn out 265/75R18s duratracs. Had 3 stock TPMS replaced at the same time.

Changed my cabin airfilter which was quite easy (thanks youtube) and took approx 10 minutes.

No major maintenance has come up this year thankfully. Approaching 190,000 km. Last year the oil pump had to be replaced after failing. Have had the range AFM disabler device in since approx 100,000kms.

Oil pressure looks good on that machine. I drive in M5 quite a bit too. Anything under 2000 rpm should be great for that motor.

Got all 4 02 sensors changed and 1 knock sensor (drivers side) on the wife's 16, the passenger side knock sensor is above the starter and its getting dark, don't really want to have to do it without at least some sunshine so it will get done in a few days storm coming.
Pretty much requires a crows foot to do the 02 sensors no room to get a full socket on there and a ratchet
