Long story short, the radio wouldn't turn off when we opened the driver door all of a sudden and the door had some structural issues so I changed the door out and used the exterior handle and lock off the bad door. Now since the radio wouldn't shut off and drained the battery, we tried to unlock the door with the key only to find out it doesn't unlock it.

My questions are:

1st: Where should I start to look into the radio issue?

2nd: Where is the best place to buy a door key cylinder? All I have found on ebay says it will not fit a 2008.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

welcome to the forum from Virginia. Check the ground wire on the B pillar for the radio issue. If you need a part number for your lock @915_Tahoe is your guy.

@915_Tahoe I saw you were tagged here. I need some help locating the part number for the driver's door lock cylinder on my 07 Tahoe. I can't get a straight answer online. I currently just have a hole where the cylinder should be and when I look into the hole, all I see is a vertical rode near the back, so I'm guessing I may need a connector to have the cylinder attach to the rod and push/pull it.

Post the last 8 digits of your VIN for @915_Tahoe, please.

Provide me the last 8 of your VIN, so I can get you the gm# on the lock cylinder.

You said the radio stays on when the door is open and not shutting off. This is due to the switch that's in the door latch. The switch is not serviceable separate and would come with the latch assembly.

Door lock Cylinder
Gm#20825032 $233.33
This would have to be coded with a dealer or locksmith with your original key.

Door latch LH front
Gm#25811735 $168.28
But it is discontinued

Door latch RH front
Gm# 15896624 $184.85
Also discontinued
