Painted my rear seat with SEM looks 100% better now have to do the other side.
Why did I paint my seats you might ask, well that's a long story.

When I got the truck the drivers bottom was ripped and the passenger bottom was close to it. I knew a detail/paint correction, kinda do it all guy who said he could fix the seats - yeah this is where it all went wrong.

So I go to pick it up and he replaced the drivers cover and used basically a type of bondo for leather on the passengers seat, the kicker was he says you can't get the original color int dye so he had to "custom" mix some dye....
So the color was close but has too much blue in it and now if I change any part the color won't match hence why I am painting the rear because yes he painted the rear to match the front. Plus I am sure he used paint which is why the drivers seat didn't last a year before cracking and the top cover is cracking as well.
So when I redo the leather on the front I will also need to fix all the overspray on the plastic molding pieces as well.

Depending on what product he used on the seats it doesn't last. Also the repair on the seat won't last either. I used to repair seats for dealers. They still sell the exact leather colors for the NBS. Did you use SEM products?
Here's the kind of stuff I used to do.

I need to fuel up and wash the wife’s 04. And replace the parking brake release handle. I’ll see if I can get to that tonight. It’s getting cold.
Got it fueled up and washed. I’ll attempt the parking brake handle/cable tomorrow.

I changed the abs wheel speed sensor that I messed up and forgot to tie it back so it rubbed through the wire. Yay no more abs light.
Was it a GM hub or aftermarket? I'm having a similar issue. I found out you can't use an GM abs sensor in an aftermarket hub, and same other way around. Sensors won't work.

My driver side blend door is acting up, of course it has to happen when its cold out, I already know my heater core is on its way out.
I am looking to get all the parts for everything inside the dash and do the heater core, evap, blend doors, is there anything else I should replace while i'm in the dash?

Have you tried to do a factory recalibration on the hvac? Might get you through the winter with working heat coming out all of the vents.

That was a good question.

I just assumed to get GM oem for the sensor so that’s what I did and it installed without any issue and solved the problem.

I had to go way back in my records to find out what hub I installed. I wasn’t aware there was a difference in the sensors — I guess I got lucky. I did actually install Gm genuine oem wheel hubs back in 2017, right about 100k miles ago.

I’ve almost always done Gm oem or true timken units and never had any issues.

thanks I'll try that for sure. this morning my vents were blowing hot fortunately so I'll do that if I have issues in the meantime while I order up the parts

sounds like the blend door actuator is on the fritz. mine was turning from hot to cold all on its own, restarting the truck would some times make it come back around. re setting the system also helped but never for a long time. once they go bad they dont self heal.

i finally broke down and changed the actuator, its in a crap place, aka in front of the console, you can change it with out pulling the seats and console, but if i was do it again id just pull the seats and console and shed less blood due to the fact ive got huge hands, like i need 3x gloves. so if your a normal sized person it might be as easy as the vid makes it look.

Blend door USA sells the whole package of doors, blend/recirc/mode to change them to billet aluminum.

That didn't look bad at all. Does it need to be recalibrated now?

it just worked as it should when i was done. issue is its a lot tighter then it looks in the vid, the cover has a bolt thats like mid way of the console and blind up inside a cone shape. the second bolt on the actuator is also blind. cant even see it. hardly feel it with a finger tip, so your fishing around with the socket.

in the vid is the driver side blend door. if you got dual controls in your truck.

Thankfully I have the manual controls. So 1 front actuator?

Not today, but last week came out of work and spotted drips on the pavement under front end. Coolant! Overflow tank was almost empty. Drove around corner to Advance and picked up a jug and filled it. Made it home and the next evening put pressure on the system. Small crack in the radiator up high on drivers side just under the hose. New radiator from Napa installed and all good now!
