No Escalade deserves that. Actually, no SUV deserves that. But you have to respect someone for going to those lengths to enjoy their ride. Maybe not their taste, but their drive to get what they want.

No they have all kinds
Wow! Quick response!!! I was just going to ask why you went with black for the hood. Do you think a different color might look better/good? Also, I don't know about your area, but there are lots of part-outs in Texas; you could just buy another hood.

Is black the only color available in plastidip?
nah, they got a rainbows worth of colors these days. gloss and the old school matt finish.

stuffs not cheap. buy on line. look for the taller cans. iirc i got 6 cans for like 65 bucks, the larger cans too. the short cans are like 16$ a can at the parts stores and home depot. one tall can will do pretty much one coat of the hood the short cans will do 3 coats on a wheel.

the hood came out with tiger stripes and im not really all that happy with it. might just power wash it off and use paint. wheels came out great.

Not to that extent, but if one could cut and graft a removable top like a K5.... I may consider that mod.

Left her at the airport for a couple days while I went to Mexico City for work. AirTag gives me a little peace of mind.

Almost forgot! Bought a master window switch for the Escalade for $50. I also got contacted by the guy rebuilding my transmission telling me my rear main seal did not need to be replaced! Unfortunately, the pan gasket is leaking prodigiously...

The majority of the cost of replacing a rear main is the labor for removing the transmission, I would change that rear main in a heartbeat with the transmission removed.

DFW? I parked my 06 Suburban at Terminal B, but only came to Lubbock for job for 3 days.

What are you doing in Mexico City? That sounds more exciting than trip! LoL

I hear the food is good down there... :)
I was at C from Tuesday night until yesterday afternoon. Went down there to perform a site assessment in support of a TSA Exit due to a divestment for an office location. In and out quick. The one night I had to myself was rain/hail so no exploration. Will have to go back on a more relaxed schedule.

Very nice. I didn't know they got hail down there. I've never actually been there, although I was born in Guerrero near Mexico State, not too far from Toluca.
