I just took my Tahoe for a cruise today for the first time with the new front mount turbocharger kit and it is freaking nuts, so i would say go turbo. KB racing makes trubo kits for GM trucks/suv's if you want his email i can give it to ya. He made my whole kit in about 3 weeks, and it comes with everything you need except injectors and a tune. I have less than 5000 in the whole thing. He can sometimes give really good proves too.
Wow man, thats a really good price. Did this come with turbo manifolds or did he just invert the stockers? Do you know what size turbo youre running? Have any pics?
He makes the manifolds, they are really thick. My turbo is a Masterpower T76, with the q trim turbine (1.0 a/r) and a (.72 a/r) on the compressor wheel. He does not use stainless piping like some other kits, but that does not bother me. This also comes with JGS wastegate, and I believe a tial BOV. I will have pictures later today, i will probably start a thread to show my progress on the kit.
Superchargers are nice but I prefer the way a turbo responds better
You asked me if I was saying I prefer the way a turbo responds, or the way it responds vs a SC in a thread titled SC or Turbo. I seriously doubt I would be compairing it to the way nitrous makes a motor respond in this thread. I am not starting the supercharger vs turbo debate. I prefer a turbo......I like the way when the motor comes under a load is spools the turbo vs having to increase engine rpm to get the added benefit of a SC. I like that with a turbo it is wasted energy vs using the engine to create the power. Look at what alot of the super fast cars are going to and vehicles designed to tow. Turbo......
Top fuel funny cars use superchargers, 8000hp.
