Just ordered some "wholesale closeout" Monroe Nivomats from RockAuto. $450 shipped. Hoping my cheapness doesn't hurt me as it usually does.

Edit: they just shipped and say arrival tomorrow. wow.
Put these on - took about an hour lollygagging in no particular rush. The originals show no visual signs of being bad and passed the jump up and down on the bumper test.

Man, oh man. They were definitely toast after almost 20 years and 173k miles. She drives so much nicer now. Wife will have to find a new reason to not want to ride in it. :D

Isn't there a mistake in your statement?

Doesn't it have to mean much more: damn, now there's no reason why my wife doesn't want to drive the car...

My now ex wife called me today in the morning. She stated that her car is making strange noises, since two days, but now the noise is very loud and she's afraid to continue driving. So jumped in my truck and drive the 3 kilometers to her.

She had flat tire on her Chrysler Crossfire and drove it since 3 Days!!! Today the tire dematerialized himself.

Now the car is here, I repair it and she rudes my truck...

I AM SO AFRAID.....

Took 'er into my local shop for some work I can't do. Oil pan gasket & o-ring, parking brake cables, diff axle seals, and a few other things. It's great not having a car payment and I haven't had to take it in for a long time, so it's due. The tech working on it complimented me on its condition, said it's a pleasure to work on. :)

Had new Michelin Defender LTX tires installed on my 2001 Tahoe LT. Almost at 219k miles.

Got me a new OEM fuel pump cause I'm tired of the sending unit dancing around. I figured its on borrowed time given the trucks original mileage. Probably install it via access panel. I don't feel like dropping the tank again like a year ago. Also picked up some oil/filter

Restored my tailgate lockhook. (Is lockhook the correct word?)

Tried to disassemble it, but the rusted screws were to tight in the plastic. So i needet to treat it mounted. Does anybody know if the plastic handle is still at GM otlr Aftermarket available?

Figured out how to get the sun roof shade back in , so before I did, I taped some left over radiant barrier on the sun facing side before install
I'm curious. Was that prompted by noticeably higher heat radiation from the sunshade compared to the surrounding headliner?

No, my sun roof shade got stuck in front of the glass, so I couldn’t close the sun roof
I pulled the shade out in order to close th glass, and research how to repair

I’m in texas , so we have brutal summers
Noticed my leftover radiant barrier (I put on the backside of my sun facing garage) so I though it may provide some “relief”

I'm in AZ often during the summer, and ...... **adds nifty tweak to the Tahoe-do list**
