Detailed the Tahoe today..and a new mod

Well after gettin it all muddy this weekend i decided it needed a good clean..

I washed, claybared and then waxed..no fancy waxes or anything..all done by hand..Pewter looks pretty good no matter what IMO..here is it..no worse for the ware after the off roading.

Tinted the tails today as well..scuffed them, gloss black krylon fusion..about 2 coats, then about 6 coats of clear..I was going to wetsand them, but im not sure how to go about that..i think they look good for spending 8 bucks..plus i did the gfs grand am

They show up great..almost as good as stock during the day, plenty at night..

Which stickers? the SK one is my truck club..and the LT badges seemed to have bad paint under them..but ill mess with them again

Looks good bro but get you some 1500-2000 grit paper+water and wet sand em. Then take some rubbing compound to em and follow up with plastic polish and a wax....you'll be amazed.

see i didnt know how to do it..i have some 100 grit and 2000 grit and i have rubbing compound..i have like 7 layers of clear on there just incase i ****** up the wetsanding..so all i do is get them wet, use the sand paper to bring out the shine, rubbing compound on them and then plastic polish and wax? I dont think they are bad for the $8 i spent doing them, but shinier is better

I like those tails but they are a little too dark for me. Would one coat make it lighter or was two coat needed for even coverage?

Looking nice! I'm liking the tails. I've been wanting to do something like that, plus its a cheap mod. I've always wondered about the Krylon fusion stuff. It seems to work, good job.

thanks guys...i was originally going to do one coat, but i figured why not make them dark..with one coat you could see the red, clear, and amber parts of the light just a little bit...they work though and put out plenty of light..the krylon fusion shit works so nicely..i just scuffed them with a red abrasive pad then painted, then waited about 15 min then started the clear..i did a coat about every 2 minutes..shit for $8 and under 30 min i cant complain

hey now the moped gets me where i need to go and shit lol..the girls love to ride on the back of it..they act like its a motorcycle or some shit
