Over the break I used the "Barkeeper's Friend" soft cleaner gel on my other car's stainless exhaust tip. So, I figured why not also do the Yukon's tip too. Turned out great!

P.S. this stuff is also fantastic for cleaning your kitchen sink if you've never used :)

Get you some of this stuff it’s amazing for a hand polish I need to order me some more but a lil goes a long ways. you don’t have to gob it on and it doesn’t dry to a hard paste/film you could leave it on a wheel for a week and wipe it off and it would be perfectly fine where some others will dry into a hard paste that you got to scrub to hell to get off

Perhaps so. I figured it would just quickly burn off, but the guy replying after yours on here looked real nice with some metal polish. I'm mainly just shocked how well (and easy) this cleaned it up given I've never done it on this vehicle after 2.5 years and ~28k miles of ownership. The final photo I posted was after just 3 applications <10min total.

@Trey Hardy Impressive before > after! I will have to pick up a bottle of that, haven't come across it before
My uncle who drives 18 wheelers got me on it! That’s where they originated (zeyphrs)
Be sure to buy from a respectable dealer I’ve read mixed reviews on Amazon on getting the real stuff I think I got mine from 4statetruck.com they had the best price
I got their buffer polishing kit too and it’s amazing the before and after with that kit but unless you have aluminum wheels there really isn’t a need in having it imo.

******, ha. So those aren't chrome wheels they're aluminum and just clean up like that? I def assumed chrome per your user image.

I have the chrome 20"s on the Yukon so no dice there. My OEM wheels on the Subaru are aluminum however (not polished aluminum though), so perhaps I could try such a thing on a small area on the back of those first.

The hand polish is for chrome the first pic I posted of the exhaust tips.
Its a stainless, aluminum, brass, chrome cleaner polish and wax that protects

I actually did use the aluminum polishing kit to restore these kmc wheels that had some heavy pitting between the spokes as you can see it worked pretty nicely but for your oem wheels that pro 40 polish is all you’ll need for your chrome

I used some Simichrome cleaner. It seemed to do a good enough job (for me).

My Yukon has already moved to Wyoming while I am still in the People's Republic of Calif but I will be joining my Yukon full time in less than 4 months.

Simichrome is used by a lot of folks in the antique car world.
It is a great polish.
