This sub has been problems since we got it. For sale as soon as this is rectified. Thought it was worn rockers. Replaced them and pushrods but no joy. Lots of up and down movement on the rockers. Of course it's the tougher side.

Did you change the hydraulic lifter as well? Propably not, because you can only change them, after removing the cylinder head.

Just pulled the valve cover and found the loose rocker.

Why don't you swap the engine, rebuild the removed one with patience and have one good in stock again?

That trucks leaving the family and won't have use for the 5.3 then. Hopefully that motor will some coins to put towards the 99 Tahoe freshening.

There are tons of the 5.3L's around me and Im closer to you than TX is. Last 2 I got was from south of Oklahoma City. (2) for $500, no core charge but thats been some years ago.

The Mitsubishi sign was off a passenger boarding bridge I demoed out in Ft. Lauderdale. A reminder off a royal PITA. Old motor out, replacement staged and ready. Just did beat the rain. Getting closer to the Tahoe project!!!! Yay

Someone should win a pita award for the grounds, the three tabs to hold stuff and sensors on the back of the block. Thought I had everything done underneath till I looked at the trans dipstick tube, and saw I had pushed the bushing into the case when I reinserted it.
