Windshield washer pump STILL leaking ???

What the heck ? I removed the washer bottle. I replaced 'carefully' the washer pumps. But it's leaking.. still.
Now, what ????? Even the water housing is pretty new ! ( 2005 Yukon XL )

Do I just silicone around the rubber seals????

I'd rather not make a second attempt to find out why the washer fluid is seeping from the rubber grommets, until I find another solution..... ANYONE, had this problem?? 'Hello? '

As the rubber ages, it shrinks. Had this happen once on another car, pump came with new rubber 0-ring/grommet and the leaking stopped.

everything is brand new. ( I am considering using that electrical stuff, a tube of " liquid rubber', or maybe silicone ?

Is it possible a sharp edge is cutting the new runner grommets??? They are literally not holding any pressure back. Possible the mounting surface is somehow warped causing the pump to sit at an agle?? Just throwing ideas at you.

I am getting prepared to dig in, fold away the inner wheel well, and inspect the drip ( tight quarters )... to see where it is leaking. Try to drop the reservoir enough to turn it, to see, if possible. I did get some clear RTV, if I need to pile it around the seal & pump.

pull it out, fill it up and check to see where the leak is coming from exactly
things that happen
1. o-rings bad
2. motor/pump housing cracks
3. tank splits/cracks
4. connecting lines crack

All of the above... I will check AGAIN......I takr it to my garage sink and test with water.... ( All the stuff is new, and that pisses me off).. Then RTV the crap out of it.

Found the problem..... A tiny leak, right at the corner, where the upper pump 'clicks' into the tank. There is a mold defect. It is very thin. I bought a new tank at Autozone ( Dorman)... $41.00.

So there was a crack in the tank?? Well glad you got it figured out!!

Not a crack... I guess, during the molding process, the 'tight outside corners' developed tiny bubbles in the plastic, and eventually opened up .

I am going to get a 'warranty' free replacement from O'Reily Autoparts, then store it ...., since the new one is from Autozone.
