Just about to hit 2 years of owning.

Ac has always been great.

Used it today for about 30 minutes in as cold as it will go. I’d say it was semi cold in most but driver vents never got cold. Maybe cool then back to warm. Overall pathetic ac for it being only 75 out.

Going to dealer soon and don’t even know what could cause this. 15k miles only on a 21 Denali. Otherwise not really any issues w it in two years but this was pathetic.

Gauges on and pressure readings during a/c operation.
Why? Low or high refrigerant will not cause a smell. He has ac operation. Refrigerant leaks smell like chemicals.

Either something is gross in the cowl/dead/decomposing. Or the cabin air filter is dirty.

How is the air flow coming out of the suspect vents? Do you get the same 'volume' of air coming out as with the heat function? The vent doors have been known to stick or lose their positional programming.

He is not complaining of a smell, he is complaining of the a/c efficiency. Did you read the entire complaint? Or did you go by the thread title only? I see no where that the OP complains of a smell. You mentioned smell and if the refrigerant is leaking inside at the evaporator, you may smell something or if the leak is bad enough under the hood to come in the vents you may smell something but if it leaks that bad, ir would never actuate the a/c compressor clutch.

Going in tmw

Just cleaned it again. Air flow is strong. Semi cold in back. Driver side warm Ari on coldest setting
You could have a blend door issue, or an issue w/ the compressor, condenser, evaportor, pressure valve, etc. You are at 15k, Dealer techs know how to work on A/C. Go to dealer, they will fix.

Oh snap. Your right (imagine that). He probably has blend door issues. I'm chasing smells over here. My bad OP. Cowl and cabin air filter won't do what your describing. Sorry for wasting your time. It's either blend doors or low refrigerant or both.

I saw the title ac stinks and took it literally lol.

Same as me. The first thing I thought of was a mold smell or something else and then I read it and had to go a different way.
