Replacement lift cylinder for rear interior cargo box?

I am looking fo the replacement gas charged lift cylinder in the Suburban rear cargo box. I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Has anyone replace this and found a suitable replacement?

Go to GMPartsDirect.com and enter your VIN, and you will find the correct struts for your truck. I replaced mine with them.

This isn't the struts for the suspension. It is for the cargo box in the rear. Simular to the rear window lift "struts", (the gas pressurized cylinders that hold the window up)

Yes, they call those struts, too. And the hatch can also be called a liftgate or end gate. Do as @Joseph Garcia recommended, or go to RockAuto or another decent vendor.

Thanks guys, but I am looking for the cargo box strut, located behind the 3rd row seats. I've searched the usual suspects; Parts Geek, Rock Auto and all the GM parts sites I can find. My liftgate has power actuators.

I’m not familiar with the 2015-2020 models but is it possible that’s an aftermarket cargo box? I didn’t know GM even had something like that.

I would phone AVM (843) 464-7823 https://avmind.com/media/Avmind/PDF/off_shelf_gas_springs.pdf and see if they sell them with a higher charge # OR at least find the specs so you can buy from https://www.liftsupportsdepot.com/c...eturn=all&Customfieldextendedlengthain=13||14
If you can find the correct ends and length (I think you will want 13"-14") I am guessing that 35# might be about right.

The "gas spring" is 12.5 in (center of clip) and 8.75 in compressed.

I found a few on Amazon that are close, $15 range. Free return with prime if it doesn't fit.

It's not a dealer add on, standard on all 2015-2020 Suburban's and Tahoe's., Tahoe has a smaller version.

My ESV came with that storage box. I found it to be a total pain for groceries due to the angle at which it sits - everything just ends up rolling out of the trunk by the time you get home! It can really ruin your day if you have anything in bottles or jugs... I took mine out today...
