So i was told by tech repairing my lifter collaspe that the warranty company might proof of oil changes for last year.

I buy my oil from Sams and do them myself. Aside from those recepits, how can i prove that the oil changes have been performed?

That's it, provide the oil and filter purchases. I am assuming it is an extended warranty company and they will ALWAYS look for a way to not pay on a claim. Unless the warranty specifically dictates the oil and filter change must be done by a shop and receipts have to have the shop letterhead, your parts receipts should be fine.

They denied my claim because oil was not changed at "approved repair facility".....
Remember what I said about extended warranty companies. They are always looking for a way not to pay a claim. Their business model is to "keep" money and not "spend" money.

The reason they want an "approved repair facility" to chnage it, is so that they see a mileage interval on the paperwork.

so now you need to dispute that denial and go into arbitration

They can't deny you based on that. You have the right to service your vehicle yourself, unless you agreed to it in the fine print.

If I saved every receipt I'd have a bookcase full so I keep an excel spreadsheet log of purchases and work done on the trucks.

X 2, Purchase receipts should be all that is needed.

Warranties provided by the manufacturer as part of the vehicle cost typically cover only certain problems with the vehicle.

Extended warranties or service contracts sold for an additional charge typically cover problems with mechanical and electrical parts not covered by the manufacturers' warranty.

You got to read the fine print in these extended warranties. Most don't realize this they are really not warranties BUT Service Contracts which is usually stated right in the paper work. They can put any loophole in there they want and you agree to it by making the purchase.
