Placed my order on my White 2023 Tahoe High Country with Super Cruise, Adaptive Cruise, Air Suspension, Black Wheels, Black Emblems, and pretty much every other option on December 1st. Order got picked up December 20th, and arrived at the Dealer Thursday the 9th.

Problem is, since placing the order, I've learned of all the things a Yukon Denali has over the Tahoe High Country.

1) Fog Lights
2) Laminated Side Windows
3) Integrated Infotainment Screen
4) "Real" wood trim vs Plastic Simulated
5) 4 extra speakers
6) Center Console Wood Trim covers
7) 100% All leather seats vs just the uppers layers in the Tahoe
8) 3 years of OnStar Premium with unlimited Wifi
9) Full LED tail light assembly.
10) rear eLocker vs the G80 mech one.

Told the dealer I wasn't interested and why and they totally understood.

They removed the dealer fee, took $3500 off the sticker, and added $2k to my trade. Honestly wasn't expecting that.

Even with the pricing incentives, I still don't know. I can have a Yukon ordered, and will take longer, 3-6 months they say. And the GMC dealer (completely different BTW) would offer about $2k off sticker, but my trade will also be worth about $2k less by then. Plus the Yukon dealer is 5 states away. I'd have to go pick it up or arrange transport. The Chevy dealer is here in my home town.

I have the Tahoe with me. Did a over night demo to take time to think about it. But I have to decide by 12pm tomorrow.

Should just take the Tahoe, which is indeed very nice and good deal from what I've seen folks paying especially for a car with Super Cruise or just wait for what I want.

Your advice is really appreciated.

You don’t sound like the $$ will make your decision so it comes down to timing (now or hopefully in next 6-months) and personal preference.

Seat material: most people won’t even notice

interior differences: which do you like better and do you really care?

Onstar and Wi-Fi: you pay for them either way be it included in sticker price or paid for separately.

E-Lok vs mech: most people wouldn’t know the difference

Fog lights: Yukon has them in the bumper and on Tahoe some folks have added aftermarket lights. If you are a real fog light user this could be a deal maker for some…

With all that being said, maybe just flip a coin.

Tahoe trade may be worth retail in 6 months from now if you’re still dying to order a Yukon. pretty good chance you won’t loose much or very little. like one said. bird in the hand.

Beautiful Tahoe. I think most of said it above.. Flip a coin. It’s really just a preference thing, they are very similar for the most part besides a little thing here or there which is cosmetic. I’ve always been a “Chevy” guy. Only owned Chevrolets but I ordered a Yukon as I just love the way the Yukons looked (especially the Denali). With those pricing incentives maybe you take it. Order the Yukon and then when it comes in make a decision if you wanna trade it in and get Yukon or pass on it. I don’t think you’re really gonna lose out on much money in next few months with the discounts you’re getting.

I don’t know what you’re driving now but if it was me I would take this deal with those incentives. Order the Yukon with the other dealer and then when it arrives compare it side by side and make the decision then. You may fall in love with the Tahoe over next few months and decide to keep it!

Engine in the Tahoe? 5.3 (?) vs 6.0 in the Denali might be a turning point for me. They are making you a really good deal on that Tahoe though.
