P.S.: My 04 has no rubber plug/access slot to access adjustments from the rear like most YouTube videos show... The only way to make any adjustments is having the rotors off.
That's right, thank you GM.

Getting the connecting clip between the front cable and intermediate was fun, but I managed to get it off. Getting the rusty nut off the equalizer took a little patience and effort, but got that too. If I can at least get the cables done, the mechanic can futz with adjustments tomorrow and hopefully get an inspection done by Tuesday morning.

As long as it doesn't do anything to mess up your system... Might be fun to play with with. If it allows you to back-up or save the existing parameters in a file or some kind of memory bank, you might want to see if it can do that for you before you get tinkerin. Its been a while since I've popped in, just a quick update. I was able to get a free Diablo Sport Intune 2 for free. I did all the updates just now and it looks like its ready to use. Has anyone used this "tuner" before? Trying to see if its good or bad, I figure it can't hurt for free.
I've read as much as I could find online for this particular tuner, it says I can restore factory settings at any time. I think I'll give it a shot and see what happens. As long as it doesn't do anything to mess up your system... Might be fun to play with with. Having done further research after you stated that, I doubt I use this. I have found that people are running into problems with the communication network in the vehicle after installing a tune. I have a rather large stereo and a few other electronic add ons I'd rather not mess with. I guess I'll pass it on to the next person that wants one.If it's anything like the inTune3, it first copies your factory tune and stores it, then you apply the inTune of your selection. You can restore the OE tune from the inTune3.
Having said that, ECMs aren't all that expensive from the UPulls, so it might be a good idea to pick one up and experiment with it. Be sure to remove power from any aftermarket radio, alarm system, etc. prior to loading a tune.
I installed this last week..... Easy to install. Boost Auto has a great video.I did this about a year ago. I have wired-only CarPlay, so it’s unfortunate I still have to plug in. But, it’s very useful for my daughters cell while we’re driving and I’m plugged in, or for using BT with mine. Also, your “mat” seems to be a nice upgrade, with the little phone ridge around the charging area. Mine doesn’t have that, and with my particular phone case, it’s definitely not very grippy.. nice upgrade.! (I know, it’s filthy, and I STILL need to do my leather seat..! I’ve been a bit busy..View attachment 383291
Looks great! Probably doing mine Friday. Have you tried it yet? Should be pretty fast...I installed this last week..... Easy to install. Boost Auto has a great video.
That's how NJ was--not anymore. Now you can buy a used car with the inspection sticker on it. They had to be pulled off before too.Passed MA RMV inspection today!
Good 'til October 2023

My trusted mechanic had a heck of a time with the parking brakes. With everything off and back on twice in adjustments, he determined there was something not right with the rotors. On old rotors, adjusted to brushing the inside of the hat to get the rotor on. But once the rotor was on there was too much clearance and not enough grip action. They were the cheap-o rotors I put on when my calipers seized. Maybe defective castings? Anyway... New rotors (premium coated this time) and he got them to finally hold decent.I have done a lot of DIY, but I am glad I let my guy deal with this one.

FYI- MA just passed a new one, where you get the same number fro the month you are due, no matter what month you get inspected.
If you are due in June and wait until December for inspection, you will still get a 6 and the next one is still due six months later...
That’s just what I was going to say. Anytime you’re writing to a module (PCM, HVAC control, etc) the system first tries to do a “ hand shake “ with every module on the bus and get its version info. If it can’t communicate with one, it can hang and the module you’re trying to program will brick. I did this with a HVAC control and couldn't bring it back from the dead. I learned to pull the fuse on my Pioneer stereo. My inTune3 works perfectly, as long as the aftermarket radio fuse is pulled when I upload the tune to the ECM.
So if I do attempt this tune from the Diablo tuner, the main thing to be concerned about is the stereo fuse being removed? Everything else in the vehicle is basically factory (I have a different gauge cluster, but its factory programmed). That’s just what I was going to say. Anything aftermarket so if that’s just the stereo, yes. As long as it doesn’t get power, the system won’t try to communicate with it and you’ll be safe to flash a tune.So if I do attempt this tune from the Diablo tuner, the main thing to be concerned about is the stereo fuse being removed? Also, I just had to order a bunch of front end parts. Upper ball joints, idler arm with bracket, pitman arm, and also a rear u-joint. Nothing like spending a bunch of money on repairs right before the holidays.
Thanks! $9.99 on Amazon (link from official JETech site) plus a 30% off coupon off of that price.I have a JETech cover for my Samsung phone and it charges through it just fine. It is a great wireless charger, I’m glad you like it.
