Hi, i've gotta replace a front magnetic ride control shock on a 2018 Yukon Denali. Does anybody make an MRC shock? Did GM abandon it? or is it supply chain shenanigans? or both. Thanks. I've been reading around about deleting, but I like the MRC. Pull a horse trailer a lot and it seems to make things better.

I checked rockauto but I don't see magneride shocks in stock. They have the expensive Arnott imitation shock. If I went with that would I have to do replace front and back. And they don't have the best rep for matching up.

Looks like luft meister has what they claim is mag ride, their language is vague. Anybody solve the problem with these?

Probably not recommended but I took my chances on the cheaper mag ride with no spring on rock auto. They were like $200 a piece. Then I had to compress my own springs which sucked.

I only went cheap because I was already disappointed that my OEM ones failed rather early. If the cheapys fail again I’m just gonna bypass the system all together and get good replacements that aren’t mag ride

IMO I don’t think my Yukon drives like a luxury vehicle. It’s not rough but it’s not like WOW these mag rides are amazing so I can definitely do without them

Thanks TOny, do you remember which ones you got? Right now I've found delco at OEM dealer for $800 for the strut and dorman at around $600 for the strut...I guess I could whip up some kinda jig to compress the springs, kinda creepy though.

Go to GMPartsDirect.com, enter your VIN, and you can find the Z95 front shocks at a price much lower that a dealer. Use the sub-codes in your PRO sheet in your glove box to get the exact replacements.

They’re on rock auto. FCS 99078 for $202 a piece

Compressing the springs are sketchy. But idk I’m just crazy and too stubborn to pay a shop
