Amazing, not sure there is anyone on this forum that can keep up with you and your improvements.
Cuz most of us have jobs and work keeps us away from our toys.

Yeah I have a lot of time to tinker with shit. The problem comes when the weather changes and it’s cold and raining. Last year I painted all my interior walls and trim in my house, as perfectly as I could. Not sure yet what this fall/ winter will be all about. I need a shop but don’t wanna spend the cash. At least so far I haven’t wanted to.Cuz most of us have jobs and work keeps us away from our toys.

Haha yep really old. Well, I did just spend about $10k on my house this summer. I’m just taking my time. Nothing I do anymore is done in a hurry, I’m enjoying taking all the time I want. I’m still in the debate stage of what my next move is.Why not? Planning on moving? You're really old and you can't take it with you, so you might as well enjoy it.

The interior plastics are showing some age and I bought a NOS rear scuff plate in a different color so I’m painting today.
SEM Classic Coat 17163 Medium Pewter. What paint color are you using? Brand and paint code
SEM Classic Coat 17163 Medium Pewter.
No. All I have ever done on the interior parts on this truck is scrub them with scotchbrite pads and Dawn unless it’s something that I’ve removed the original paint on, like the main dash. On that I used adhesion promoter, I got that from www.automotivetouchup.com. That is until that scuff plate I just bought. I originally only cleaned it with Dawn and the paint peeled right off with my finger so I had to remove it and then I used scotchbrite and the adhesion promoter, then repainted. But the front interior pieces that were originally pewter have all been repainted using the easy method and they’ve held up for many years so far.Did you use primer?
Doesn’t even look like the old ones were Nivomat. Nice to have the right stuff! Does it ride better now?I found and bought a minty set of Nivomat shocks to replace the crusty aftermarket ones the previous owner installed.
It rides about the same as far as I can tell. I’m more concerned with the load leveling ability once I have the trailer on the back.Doesn’t even look like the old ones were Nivomat. Nice to have the right stuff! Does it ride better now?
I have repainted most of the interior in my 02 Denali. I did the dash and all the surrounding trim pieces because although I’m pretty sure the SEM Classic Coat 17163 I use is an exact match, I think years of sun has had an effect on the original pieces. I could see the difference. I’m in process of painting the rest of the interior pieces, starting at the back. Just a heads up, so in case you paint one and the one next to it doesn’t match exactly you’ll know you have to keep going until you come to an angle or break in between so you don’t have one piece right against another. I know there are pics way back in my build thread on when I did the dash, and right now there’s pics of the rear and sides being done. Here’s a link to yesterday’s work.Has anyone repainted or recoated their glovebox door? Mine is starting to peel and I don't know that I want to spend money on a new/old stock replacement.
